A walk to Town

19th Oct 2016

Here you can read all about our second Wellie Walk, this time we went to town! We visited the Cancer Research shop to collect some supplies and to learn a little more about the Stand up to Cancer cause.

Having a well earned rest before going to see Jo at the shop.

At the shop.

We were so excited as there was so much to see.

On Tuesday afternoon, we went on our second wellie walk of the day, a walk to town to the Cancer Research Shop. At the shop, Joanne, the manager was expecting us. She gave us a large box of goodies to help us with our fundraising. We carried the box back to the minibus and once back at the setting we unpacked it. we found tutus, wigs, stickers, balloons and badges inside. We are all going to dress up on Friday the 21st, either in something orange or something red,  to raise more funds for ‘Stand Up To Cancer’.

Auntie Rhiannon was very keen! She donned the tutu and wig and can’t wait to do it again on Friday. Since orange and red is the theme (as Auntie Rhiannon so beautifully models) we encourage you to come in all dressed up in something orange or red on Friday the 21st. We ask for a £1 donation. Cancer Research is well worth our spare change!

Auntie Rhiannon all dressed up showing just  some of the goodies from the box.

Our sponsor form is in the office, please get in touch if you would like to make a donation (you can do this by phone, in person, or through Facebook).Every year we try to raise funds for this worthy cause. We all know someone that has been affected by cancer so dig deep and help us raise as much as possible. Thank you

If you prefer you can donate directly by visiting Stand up to Cancer
