Well today has been a very busy day with lots of updates! We’ve got lots of news to share.
Half Term –
Half term is from the 24th to the 28th of October. Please remember that you MUST book in your child if you wish for them to attend. Flying Start does not operate during Half Term, however you are more than welcome to book in your child for a session and pay for it. It has come to our attention that some children have been booked in for trips, but not for the session. You must book in for the session in order for them to attend. You can do this by phone, in person, through our private Facebook group, or by messaging the Facebook page.
After a suggestion from a parent we have now got a dedicated monthly ‘events’ page. This can be viewed by choosing the ‘Events’ category on the News/Blogs/Events page. October, November, and December have already been posted.
Please note that each blog post is posted into a particular category. These categories are displayed on the right hand side of the page when you click on News/Blog/Events. If you choose ‘Events’, you can see important dates here at Briton Ferry Childcare over the next three months. These are updated regularly so check back to see if anything has been added.
Please note that we have a few trips coming up over the next few months. Some of these are for certain age limits. All are on a first-come first-serve basis. Booking is only confirmed when payment is received. We also remind you that the session fee is still applicable, the trip fee covers petrol, and event entry only. Please see Gemma for bookings. A few details have been posted in the events page as detailed above.
McMillan Coffee Morning –
Thank you so so much to everybody who donated for our McMillan Coffee Morning. We are very proud o fthe children who worked very hard to make the cakes, and we hope they all enjoyed.
And for the result… We have raised a fantastic ONE HUNDRED pounds.
Congratulations to Matthew who won the ‘Guess the Spots’ sweepstake. The answer was 495 spots!
Some exciting News:
On Friday 21st of October Channel 4 will be airing live ‘Stand up to Cancer’ in partnership with Cancer Research UK.
1 in 2 people born after 1960 in the UK will be diagnosed with some form of cancer during their lifetime (Cancer Research UK). Although research has come a long way, there’s still a long way to go.
We’ve decided to do our bit by having sponsored Wellie Walks. We’ll be going to different places such as parks, the farm, the woods etc and we’ll be going at times that ensures that each child gets to experience a walk. Our sponsorship form is in the office so please feel free to drop in at any time and donate! Our progress will be documented on a series of blogs, we hope you and the children enjoy!
Alternatively, you can click here to donate.
